Team WO9LF Geocaching

Geocaching is a very enjoyable hobby that I participate in as often as work allows. I found out about it on accident one day while surfing around, and I was hooked before I even went on a hunt. A Treasure Hunt using a GPS... How can that not sound fun?!

Jenn went along on the first hunt just to see what I was up to, and now she enjoys it as much as I do. At our first Cache find, Bridge A La Cache, for lack of a Geocaching name, I signed the log with my FCC Amateur Radio Callsign, WO9LF. Jenn, looking over my shoulder, said “What about Me!?!?”, and so with that, ‘Team WO9LF’ was to be the name. We got in the habit of putting a Paw Print in each log book since Erin the Geodog can’t sign her name, and it has kinda become our Trademark, hence the paw print on our logo.

While we like to celebrate cache milestones, we don’t pay attention to the numbers. The fun for us is the adventure of the hunt, not how many we find.

We have now hunted caches in Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Click on the Navigation bars to the left to read about some of our favorite caches, and to view pictures from some of our hunts.
