Field Day 2004 was a successful weekend, and the great weather and perfect location made it one for the books. The contest was operated from a campground near Marsellies, Illinois, and a fun time was had by all while running 1A.

Jenn the cook supplied good food all weekend while W9AFR and KB9JWG found a good spot on 20 and ran stations all afternoon and evening. WO9LF and N9GH took over in the nightime hours, and stayed awake until the wee hours of the morning grabbing the CW Q’s on 40 and 80 while Erin the Guard Dog kept the Raccoons at bay.

Sunday morning, things were a bit slow on the bands, but everyone wiped the sleepiness away and managed to add a few more contacts throughout the morning and afternoon, and although he wont admit to it, we even got W9AFR to touch the CW Key for a brief moment!
